What is the ground truth with the Palantir sales org? The reviews on Repvue and Glassdoor are so unbelievably bad it almost doesn’t seem real (almost criminal treatment of sales folks).

Can anyone shed some more light on this?

It is worse than the reviews. I've never seen a more toxic sales environment. You would be making a mistake to think you're above any of the horrible scenarios. The ramp is 2 weeks. Once out of onboarding you're expected to generate 1 "Qualified Opportunity" per month. Qualified meaning you are in with the decision maker and have confirmed budget with next steps. Meanwhile, it takes on average 2-3 months to get a CXO to respond to your outreach. If you don't get an entry level opp on one of your accounts within 30 days, you lose the account and anyone can poach it. If you don't 4 Qualified opps at your 5 month mark, you're fired. They hate salespeople. The sales leaders have 0 sales background. The employee handbook said "we will never hire salespeople". That lasted 17 years until they went public. It's sales hell with no transparency.

Sadly it’s all true, worse in reality than the reviews. No professional should go near this place. Somehow sales leadership here has full top cover / impunity from Palantir legal, HR, and executive leadership to keep abusing people as the reviews describe.

I was there for 2yrs and they are all 100% true. Worst sales org imaginable. They delayed my 6-figure commission by 6 months and stiffed me at the end. The comp plan has a caveat saying they can pay whatever they want. They DO NOT treat it as fine print and actively abuse sales in even worse ways.

Talk to some recent sellers here and ask how entire onboarding cohorts of 8-10 new hires were all washed out in 4-8 months.  This is not a real sales org, more like a morally bankrupt Rolodex harvesting scam. Hiring contracts, acct assignments,+ sales process are shaped to use/abuse/fire sellers

It’s worse than the reviews. They could write an HBS case study on this org + its leadership, that’s how f’ed up this place is. The AE role here isn’t even a real job. They hire you with no quota and then in onboarding “surprise” generate a qualified F500 cold-sourced opp every month or your fired.

It’s as bad or worse than all the reviews. It’s horrible how they treat sales. It’s a shame because their technology is incredible. Imagine running Enterprise Sales like a used car lot. That’s the best analogy for sales at Palantir.
