How would you evaluate the sales management team at Nutanix in terms of coaching and development opportunities for sales professionals? Based on your experience with sales leadership at Nutanix, would you recommend working in sales at the company?

Depends on the geo.

There is a lot of sales enablement and product training but no actual sales skills training or coaching that occurs in terms of prospecting, deal progression, qualifying deals and closing. While I worked there, I had hired external sales coaches on my own dime to fill that void.

When I was there, sales enablement was somewhat unstable. Around the time I left, they were ramping up efforts to create designated customer success teams that were verticalized by sector and the scale of businesses they were handling, along with a handful of sales enablement specialists for inside sales. My tenure spanned the old CEO's leadership and a bit of time afterward. I'd say the culture shifted significantly, which influenced my decision to seek a different opportunity. Opportunities for growth and advancement were stunted in many ways. Leadership became more political and less focused on supporting sellers in closing business.

I can highly recommend Nutanix pre-Dheeraj's departure; however, I’m unsure if I could post-departure. I haven't been there for some time now, so I’m not certain if things have stabilized and returned to normal after all the changes.
