Great training but difficulties to further expand and actually benefit from all the skills learned

Mongo used to be a great place to work in sales. When the economy took a downturn in beginning of 2023, they began “restructuring” and making it harder to achieve quota which instead of doing layoffs, they got people to organically quit. Great business decision honestly. The ones of us that are left are struggling for the most part.

Overall very good experience at MongoDB development wise. High quality trainings, 50% of discussions with management are focused around personal growth. The OTE is overall good but tends to decrease FY after FY and is not reevaluated along with economic trends as it is in more mature companies.
