Meltwater
Back to ReviewsCurrent Employee Your experience at Meltwater will heavily depend on your team and its FLM leadership. It’s a strong entry point for a SaaS career, offering opportunities to learn and grow early on. However, long-term prospects are limited by a leadership structure dominated by lifetime employees with little external industry exposure. Despite frequent talk of "strategic motions," sales leadership often reverts to overly aggressive tactics that jeopardize deals and lead to churn, creating challenges for CS teams over time.
Compensation is below industry standards, but high performers who oversell significantly are well recognized and rewarded.
The company’s culture, once a core strength, has declined under private equity ownership. Many long-tenured employees appear disengaged, contributing to a lower-performance work environment that affects morale and productivity.
That said, the people remain one of Meltwater’s greatest assets. The team’s collaborative and supportive nature fosters positive daily experiences and lasting personal and professional relationships. Browse Other Reviews
