How has the Strat team been performing over the last year or two.  I'm interviewing for a Strat role in the West.

Ditto. There is also a lack of transparency across the board, so it isn't easy to connect the dots. There is an excellent PMF,  and I'd say it's better suited for large Enterprises, so it's good from that angle, but the rest is terrible.

If you're ok collecting a check, and somewhat coasting, but under constant pressure from the team (they have no idea what they're doing), this is the place for you.

Strat team is feast or famine - mostly famine…New director was just hired that has some good ideas, but management in general at LD is all over the place right now with their direction/goals.

Let's go by the metrics -- Last year 1 out 7 strat reps made their number.   The prior year only 1 out 6 made it.   Additionally, you are now responsible for churn (i.e if a customer fails to renew their $200K contract, you need to sell over $200K new in order to make any commission -- this is a HUGE liability, additionally, as stated, you do NOT make a penny on a flat renewal.   You'd need to find the "right" set of accounts, have a ton of luck and excellent timing in order to make any money in that  role.   Just look at how many reps have cycled out of the company from that role to give a good indicator.   Tactically it might be a good fit, but (ironically) strategically it could be a tough move.

It’s good if you have a good set of accounts. Many sales reps aren’t hitting number this year and management has taken lots of incentives out of reps pay to encourage them to hit target.

Eg. There was a 1% renewal bonus for your accounts. That’s been removed to encourage you to hit number
