At the time I was there, there were significant challenges that made the job unnecessarily difficult, but that is likely common with mergers and acquisitions. There was also abnormally high turnover during that period.

The burden now belongs to the staff that was left behind once all the legacy talent and leadership jumped-ship. Those remaining are in hopeless pursuit of empty title and comp promises from a flaccid ELT who consider themselves to be "professional".
