Intuit is trying to be an innovative tech-first company despite still offering legacy programs such as QuickBooks Desktop. To pull away from the legacy systems and shift to the cloud, prices have increased on the legacy side by 60%+, forcing small business customers to move to the cloud or go to a different, more affordable platform altogether. As an inbound sales rep, it's not unusual to engage with pissed-off customers in the queue (similar to a call center) multiple times a day. Leadership is subpar, with many lacking a solid leadership style that emulates Simon Sinek's or Natalie Nixon's teachings. I would describe the leadership style for most (not all) as more of a 'lead from the front' vs 'lead from the side' style. Micromanaging or providing criticism with no constructive feedback. I worked with a manager who teased a rep for having a stutter. Other leaders would call out sick once or twice a week EVERY week. In terms of comp, the max cap made zero sense. The company also recently laid off 1800+ employees, including many from my organization. They kept employees who had consistently underperformed and let go of those who had been high performers.
