Hilton Grand Vacations
Back to ReviewsCurrent Employee Unfortunately vacation ownership is the least innovative industry I've ever worked in, especially on the marketing front where even the best in class companies/brands still market like it's 1980. It's ripe for disruption....the business could easily double in size (currently $10B) if companies utilized data more effectively....but that is not likely to happen until some smart investors realize that they need to replace the current leadership with a new generation that understands data and has actual experience with cutting edge marketing strategies. The reason I rated the pay so low is because as the industry has consolidated from independent companies into a few major Fortune 500 companies the pay has steadily decreased over the years while the duties we are required to perform (for which we are paid zero) has dramatically increased...not a trend you want in a 100% commission sales job. If you have a college degree and you're smart I would pursue a sales job in technology....a job with constant challenges and unlimited upside. Vacation ownership is a viable choice for people who don't have that option but have lots of grit to make a pretty decent living. Browse Other Reviews
