This is the only organization I have ever worked for where your commission check is 100% dependent on operations, not sales, to deliver the proposal and quote review. This should be sales in any other organization. There is a huge lack of communication between sales and operations that slows the opportunity or causes the opportunity to die off. Once an account submits, it’s first PO, you are not aloud to grow that account any more. Only operations.

New leadership is ratcheting back the compensation structure in a way that will make it much harder to extract value for sales overachievement. The “annuity” type incentive for selling long-term contracts is also being winnowed down.
