Overall experience at Gartner is completely dependent on your book of business of and your manager. If you have a strong manager who is highly involved in your deals and dedicated to your success, you're going to find success. That said, Gartner promotes AEs very quickly to management which leaves many teams and ICs lacking the necessary support which can be detrimental to ones experience and development.

only around 30-40% are hitting quota. People are leaving left and right or getting laid off for production issues. The service is more of a luxury and not necessarily needed at this time. Especially since it is a very expensive service to have. I would advise to proceed with caution.
