Former Employee Gartner splits their org between GTS (IT arm) and GBS(everything else). Success is really dependent on the product team you're selling (HR, Legal/Risk, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.) and your manager. They provide good sales training, almost too much at times and very redundant. Culture sucks, very cliquey, managers play favorites and they will try and force scripting down your throat. Salesforce/Data management is awful, getting started expect to start from scratch and although they have Salesforce, you will be working out of excels the entire time. All of management has been at Gartner for 10+ years, not open to new ideas at all and its the "Gartner sales way" or you will be out.
