I had a great run at Gartner but your success is dependent on your territory and book of business along with your manager. There are ones that are better than others. I was a multiple award winner 4x winners circle but at the end they didn’t value or treat me well. I had changed groups within the company and was a huge mistake. This lead to my exit at the company. I value the experience and would work there again but would be sure to vet the book and territory before taking that leap.

Excellent company to work for, but if you start and work your way up expect not to see commensurate bumps to salary. If my base had been more in line with competitors, I’d definitely be staying longer. Those who come in from the outside tend to see a premium. Although quite notorious for office politics, I enjoyed my time there. Extremely talented and capable colleagues.
