Question

Thoughts Enterprise GBS Supply Chain? Recruiter thinks I can be a fit for either the AE role or the Business Development role. Comp plan appears to be the same. Current employees, what is the better role for GBS Supply Chain? (I have experience in both hunting and farming)

Both are good in their own ways. 
If you like hunting, go for the BD role, if you like account management, go for the AE role.
IMO the AE role is alot easier but you can also get a walk in sale easily as a BD (new C level from a company that used gartner buys it for full team)

Supply Chain is top 3 in nearly all growth and retention categories across GBS, #1 in a lot of metrics… so off the bat it’s a great part of the business to be in. AE vs. BD just depends on what activities you prefer. If you prefer being a pure hunter go BD. AE if you like a mix of retention + growth

GBS better than GTS.  Supply Chain is one that is easier to sell into.  Gartner sales is built around AE's.  BD's are a very tiny % of sales, so training, metrics everything built around the AE role.  AE is a better route.  BD is difficult sell as you are selling to companies that do not have Gartner, verses AE's that are selling into a known vendor.  As long as you keep the accounts happy and are active with the accounts, AE is the better path.  This is for ALE.  If you are looking at MSE that may be a completely different answer.
