Hi all!

I'm looking at an open role for the GTS as an account executive. How has GTS performed historically? I think I'd only have a handful of accounts, like 6-10. Any input?

Good luck. Toughest sale you will ever have to make. Takes so much effort from the client to see and gain value. Majority of issues you will have comes from lack of bandwidth and lack of c level (ceo/cfo)  understanding of  Gartners. You will be asked to transact on levels that will make 0 sense.

Your success at Gartner very heavily depends on the Territory they give you. You only have a handful accounts and a few prospects where you can gain NCVI (net growth). As Gartner is strongly focussing on role based services be aware that the existance of some roles depend on a minimum company / entity size.

GTS is the biggest BU at Gartner and therefore the most saturated. Look at the earnings reports, you can see GTS lagging behind GBS in growth. You’ll also see some underlying metrics that look a bath in micro vendors due to weakness in that segment. But that should have run its course last year.

It's hit and miss. Ask about the specific accounts you'll be assigned (performance etc.)
If the position is open it's likely that the territory you're being assigned is dry...
