Cloudera
Back to ReviewsFormer Employee I joined Cloudera knowing the product/platform was not an easy sale and went to technical quite quickly. However, I initially joined a local leadership team that I respected and who took care of people and tried to help new joiners get up to speed quickly and feel part of the team. The Cloudera processes (or lack thereof sometimes) were initially my biggest challenges. The role was not just to sell but to appropriate a very different way of working than I was used to and that could be very tiring and time consuming. Collaboration is a good thing, however at Cloudera it meant that no one really took responsibility and make decisions. There was often someone else who undermined it and it was quite difficult to move things forward. I left because on top of a worsening of the processes the local leadership team completely changed and I was not aligned with my new manager, whose expectations were far too unrealistic in the context of my accounts’ potential. They required a long-term view of things and I was asked to put effort only on the short-term. Browse Other Reviews
