CarGurus does not set themselves apart from any other cutthroat sales environment and is below market rate for base compensation for an AE in Boston. They have only decreased incentives over time and even at 120% you'll only bring home 65% of the money you make AND then you're taxed 40% on top of that. In addition we have not altered our products in a very long time, making us less competitive in terms of actual advertising function and capability.

This is a tough company to review, i have great friends that work there and the people are some of the best I have ever worked with. But the management is opaque despite talking about transparency being a "core" value. The overall vibe is very duplicitous, things are not what they appear at face value.
