Back to ReviewsFormer Employee Although the Autodesk company is good, it does depend on which team you are in. If your team reports into Singapore, expect a carrot and stick sales management mentality, except there's little to no carrot. There are many managers who are bullies and it seems to be an accepted culture. Raising it up gets lip service, but little to no action. Many people leave as a result. A very different sales culture compared to mainstream technology businesses. Their idea of building pipeline is if a company doesn't have a deal listed in Salesforce, put one in without any qualification. That's how pipeline is built at Autodesk, which of course is totally fictitious, but it's how things are done. If you are in the midmarket and enterprise teams, this is a good area of the business. Territory sales is a grinding business where call frequency and time is recorded, including the calls themselves for monitoring. Big brother is watching all the time. Ineffective pipeline building would be call blitz days. This is two or three days of getting on the phone and dialing for dollars which is monitored. Ineffective and a waste of time. Choose your area to work in wisely. Browse Other Reviews
