It was the tried and tested structure of the company, that made it all kinda work in my opinion. Executive leadership had more than just a strategy, but a roadmap that the strategy fed into.

Our division was used to doing business like it always had and their conservative approach to supporting the folks in the field with tools / tech was as a bit too slow for my taste. The role was not a good fit.
