Can anyone provide guidance on which account executive/account director roles are the best to pursue in terms of earning potential and job stability? Feels like it might be a hit or miss scenario based on what you’re aligned with

So there's industry led reps and solution led reps.  Industry reps cover all Adobe products, but you have very high quotas and only a few accounts so you are hoping that those few customers are in buying cycles for the products Adobe has.

Solution Led reps are broken up into 3 different teams, but your account lists are larger.  There's a commerce rep, Data and Insights rep, and a content rep for each account.  Then on Solution led there is the enterprise team that covers about 30 accounts and their job is to expand the footprint of Adobe solutions to already existing customers.  Quotas here are high as well, but enterprise had a great year in 2024.

Then you have mid market which is the worst place to be at Adobe.  Here you have about 150 accounts, but they are usually too cheap to buy anything else from Adobe.  Customers are under 500 million in revenue in mid market.  Mid Market got rocked in 2024 and I don't think a single rep hit quota.

Then there is greenfield which is new logo accounts.  This space has the lowest quotas and your account lists and territories are huge.  No limit on industry or company size.  Your biggest battle as a rep in this space is you work with usually laggard type customers in the digital space.  However, this is the place everyone at Adobe wants to be at so it's extremely hard to get in.

Industry reps seem to have scarier job stability at Adobe while solution led kind of gets ignored especially the greenfield and mid market space.  You don't have a lot of the upper management micro managing you in solution led like the industry reps get.
