Outside of sales & buying meetings, referrals from clients/ partners are hammered more than anything, which do not come at the volume that is expected. Outbound in most cases is the way you’re going to exceed quota, but for a field role they don’t optimize you for outbound sales (same zip codes, lists I’ve been using the whole time, no fresh info/ lead gen support from BDR/ managers).
