The CDP space has so many competitors who say they can do part or all of what Segment offers, which makes it difficult to sell. However, it is still a great product when you need to connect, unify, and engage audiences, and it is the most comprehensive CDP.

Overall experience has been a bit chaotic. Feels like working at a startup. Tons of changes for better and for worse. Have witnessed two layoffs in my time here, the founder and CEO leaving, the entire sales org getting restructured, and the quota and KPIs changing. On the positives - good front line management, great culture for the most part, and solid base pay.

My overall experience was good at the beginning but as they tried to integrate Twilio and Segment products, the core strength of the Segment platform were neglected and the constant org changes created a lot of noise which made it hard to stay focused.
