My overall experience was slightly negative. Product and market fit are reasonable and the company does pay out on big deals. The main issue seems to be very inexperienced leadership and rep turnover. Many managers/directors never had a leadership (or even sales) role before Verkada and lead by listening to the echo chamber. Reps will work a deal for months only to leave or be let go. Then their backfill comes in and inherits a win without any work. Recruiters are aggressive and misrepresent the actual earnings opportunities. Promises were made and not delivered.

Great to get your foot in the door with tech, terrible for longevity. Company is ran by a bunch of Nepo hires and they only care about numbers. There are highly skilled and tenured reps who can’t get promoted in the sales org because they’re set up for failure from the beginning. Great product market fit. Not much training on offer internally. Overall average management. High earning potential but a lot of variables involved in that.
