For a telecom company, Verizon is about the same as AT&T and so it will be what you expect. The challenge will be getting stuck in telecom with skills that SaaS companies will not view as transferable.

Verizon has experienced a lot of change, if it ever settles and leadership can begin to strengthen and develop great teams again it will be a great place to work. If not then you'll need to understand you are just a number and need to keep your head down and do the work.
