Introduced capped commission for BDRs with the maximum you can earn being 25% over your OTE. Regardless of this it’s a fantastic company, with a great culture and a great product market fit. Since the acquisition it seems as if Splunk is now at the heart of Cisco with constant product innovation, especially in Observability.

Splunk has been a fantastic place to work with a great culture. Things have changed that are making the culture different than in the past. Challenges around licensing, account segmentation where enterprise reps are geographically dispersed, leadership challenges, and more and more frustrated customers.

Market leader in the space. No one can do what Splunk can do for E2E observability and security. The price tracks that, so lots of value selling. Deal cycles extremely long; very complex technical solution, contracting, and implementation/success. Challenging, but super rewarding!
