Overall my experience was positive, however there were some unique challenges with being so isolated (working overseas) and not having local leadership. This lead to a lot of tension about operating in region.

The product has a lot of potential, however a lack of investment in the tool and some bad acquisitions, which haven't been integrated well, mean that they are falling behind the competition. Sonatype needs to pick a strategy and stick with it. Every 2 weeks we had a different initiative to hit and promote. Leadership turnover was problem, obviously when a new leader steps in they are looking to make an impact which added to the confusion of what direction we were actually headed.
