Back to ReviewsCurrent Employee Softcat is a great place to work but they pay is not ideal. I was an apprentice who graduated 6 months early off of the program and a top performer. they then introduced a criteria to hit before you can get a pay rise which was very challenging with the amount of free time my colleagues and I have at this stage in the role which caps us at the apprentice salary while we complete a full account management job while getting little to know support with new leads (at softcat you manage your whole sales cycle). this is while the SDP program gets paid £8,000 more to hit lower targets and do all around less work. This is unfair as while we work from 7-7 some days, the SDP take 1.5 hour lunch breaks and arrive late to work and we are not considered for a pay rise to at least the SDP level. This is my only negative from working here, and if you can join at a higher level it would be an amazing place to work and is very well run.
