Slack is a great product, but a very challenging sell in this environment. And success is dictated by the book of business you're given. Some are dealt a much better hand than others.

Slack is great depending on your book of business. I had an unfair advantage due to being given golden accounts that helped me hit quota over other harder working AEs. From what I’ve been told, this is true across all of Salesfofce.

Salesforce isn't for everyone. Compensation and benefits are world-class but you're absolutely just a cog in the machine. Managers care primarily about upward mobility and in-general I felt it to be a fairly selfish environment. Slack's culture pre-Salesforce was incredible. Post-Salesforce, it's gone downhill. Slack as a company is gone. While the product is excellent and superior to any competitor out there, breaking into new accounts is extremely difficult & it's hard to justify the price/compete with Teams in a budget-conscious market.
