my overall experience was difficult, Shopify is a bad remote company. They didn't do enough to make us feel valued or to connect us. I felt really isolated and like it was all work, there was no effort to create company culture despite being remote.

In 2019-2021 things were great, deals were closing, heavy inbound, was the wild west so you wernt restricted in going after accounts. People were minting the gravy train until 2022 when markets slowed down and kay offs begun. From that point culture was affected, trust diminished and just wasnt the same. New leadership and alot of churn due to low trust.

My experience as a CSM was positive. The merchants are good to work with and when I was there the benefits and pay were great. Towards the end of my tenure there were a lot of executive leadership changes that have impacted the company for the worse. They’ve slashed benefits and made it harder to move up and increase your pay.
