In 2024 as Procore struggled to meet its sales plan, the focus on internal talent shifted 180 degrees to hiring externally. Unfortunately, the outcome was a significant loss of tribal knowledge and diverse talent (on all fronts, including diversity of experience). Hiring and firing practices became opaque and based on shoulder taps and cronyism.

Great product market fit. Sales org lacks culture and leadership seems to be under a lot of pressure. All they care about it forecasting but they don't look at the bigger picture
