Do you anticipate the sales team at Pegasystems expanding or downsizing in the upcoming year, from the perspective of someone interested in pursuing a career in sales at the company, is now a good time to join?

at the end of last year (12/22) the alliances department in DACH was fired or moved into different positions. Public sector sales team quit after that and has not been replaced so far. Also not the best place to learn sales, as they make you jump through a thousand hoops before they approve an offer. Harder to sell internally than to prospects.

The culture was a bit toxic when I was there, and that is before the lawsuits and continual “restructuring” resulting in numerous layoffs.  In the first round, many of my old co-workers were able to find new roles and since then have lost their job.  Tech is dated, leadership is uninspiring.

They will downsize for sure, I would look for other vendors to join. They invested serious $ and change to get to $5B and it failed miserably hence the reset also driven by economies around the globe. The layoffs have not been good for morale and the smart folks will be moving out when the right opportunity presents itself.

I see downsizing, they have cut their salesforce by a lot and their teams are already super lean. I would personally stay away at the time.
