It's been a joy being part of the company for almost 2 years at this point. The company's evolved at lot over that time and I expect it to continue evolving, but it still feels like it's getting in early on something that could be a SaaS legend. The key to success here is patience and understanding that the business is growing faster than what most have likely experienced in their careers.

Doing our best to build a SaaS legend! We know that the pace of change can be a lot to handle but it's required to build something great. Thanks for the review and for being a longstanding member of the team.

Management is inexperienced, yet pose as experts on LinkedIn. Be weary of working here, favoritism is rampant. Even when hitting over 100% to quota, you will be scrutinized. For example people are promoted based on their habits in their personal lives. One rep was promoted over another because they hit the gym regularly and eat healthy and the other plays video...Read More

Although it's disappointing for our RepVue score to take a hit, I'm glad this review is out there because it's great expectation setting for folks who are thinking about joining the Owner revenue team. There's only one factual inaccuracy that we "do not have a real promotion track." We published a document in September 2023 called Revenue Career Pathing that outlines our promotion track, requirements and decision criteria. Reps are given formal feedback every month on key components of this framework, which was recently refactored as our monthly Report Cards. So what this reviewer got right: Yes, you will be 'scrutinized' even when hitting over 100% of your quota. We believe in pursuing excellence - consistent coaching and feedback (even if you're hitting goal) is a part of that. We strive to push every team member to become the best version of themselves. Yes, we look at more than just attainment to assess promotion readiness (although that's a key eligibility gate). As outlined in the Revenue Career Pathing page referenced above, there are 5 key inputs for getting promoted, which I'll paste here for reference: 1. Metrics & Impact: Do great at your role. Sales, working for a startup, and especially sales at a startup requires greatness in order to be promoted. 2. Skill Development: Getting to the number is great but how you do it is also important because it's harder to brute force your way to target as the difficulty of the role increases 3. Habits: You need to develop great life habits so that you have a platform for continuing to do more and more challenging things. 4. Mindset & Character: You need to show great character as a person because we will not promote 'brilliant jerks'. 5. Business Need: Your opportunity to be promoted is reliant on the business requirement for that role. As you can see by this framework, we're not only trying to build great salespeople but we're trying to build great humans. We believe that in order to have a great career, you need to build a great personal platform that involves things like discipline, time management, respect, resilience and, yes, self-care. Getting exercise and eating healthy are things that we encourage our team to do. If there are 2 people who are the same in every way but one rep works out, meditates, eats well and gets good sleep then they'll get the nod. Great self-care is an important input to sustained high performance. We know this approach isn't for everyone but it's how we believe in building a world class team. If this isn't the type of environment you're looking for then somewhere else is a better fit.
