In a select named accounts territory covering 15 named accounts in a specific industry vertical. Bottom line Oracle’s Cloud ERP is the best in the market. Your success relies wildly on how good your territory / name accounts are. Sales cycles are very long 1-3 years. Most reps don’t see a commission check for first 1-2 years, but if you work and develop a territory you should be rewarded with better new accounts & have legit opp to make 300-400k consistently. You need to have a strong business acumen and strength networking w/ SI partners (Big 4, ACN, mid-markets, boutiques), advisory firms & other ISVs for account intel & business development. A general understanding of accounting, how to read client financial statements & reports will also help you in market research of your account book. Be patient, work hard and it will begin to waterfall. This is a career move not a “quick way to make a buck in year one.” Not for everyone. Enterprise teams trend older. I am in my early 30s and internal meetings I feel like a “baby”. Which means you have very experienced talent around you to learn from. It was the best career move.
