Great products and can solve tons of customer challenges. Velocity is slow and competition from point solutions is high. Not the highest ceiling either. Overall if you’re a mature rep who can handle longer and more complex cycles you can win here.

The compensation structure for sales engineers was borderline corrupt. The managers got to decide how much "sales bonus" an individual should get as sales engineering was comp'd on the country number and not on the sales number of their respective account managers. This led to a lot of favoritism. Also, there were hardly any annual increments.

Oracle is a great company overall. But your success, culture fit, and experience overall is highly determined by the organization you are in. For each part of the business, there are many different organizations. Such a big company, it's easy for the wrong people to be in leadership.

Terrible terrible experience. I was warned about joining their Canadian org by former managers but I was lured in by the job title and higher base pay. But taking this job turned out to be the biggest professional mistake of my life. Managers, VPs are bullies. Canada is given 0 respect. STAY AWAY!
