My overall experience has been positive. They will hire literally anyone willing to try the job, put them through the trenches and see who sticks. The first 1-2 years are brutal but 93% of people who make it past their fifth year retire with the company. They have a solid pension and 100% employer paid retirement plan & offer stocks at NAV + no sales charge to employees & their family. Culture varies WIDELY office to offices but there are tons of mentorship and personal development opportunities. 100% commission based (uncapped) with a performance based bonus package for first years equating to ~$35k.

If you don't already have a rich network who is open to buying thousands of dollars of life insurance don't even consider this role. They tell you that if you just sell 100 lives(policies)/year for the first few years you'll eventually get into a richer market, this is not the case.
