How would you rate the effectiveness of the sales leadership team at Nextiva in terms of mentorship and professional growth opportunities? Based on your interactions with the sales leaders, would you recommend joining the sales team at Nextiva?

Agreed, I would say the sales leadership team is fragmented from the top down. The new CRO and VP of Sales aren't effective leaders and do not create a positive environment. It's very had metric driven and the problem is there are no leads and they make you consistently dial closed lost opportunities. If you have good prospecting skills maybe you might find some success, but don't rely on inbound leads or SDR passes since you won't get many. I would consider other opportunities and avoid the toxicity. There are so many new managers and team members with turnover being high so everyone is just trying to make it.

I would not recommend working at Nextiva. The business is not doing well and there is a lot of pressure to perform which is causing very poor management of the company especially regarding sales leadership. Nextiva used to be a great company but over the last couple years they have been moving in the wrong direction and over the last 6 months things have been deteriorating much faster. As an AE you will be told to figure it out, to do it faster, harder, stronger, but will not be given the tools or direction to be successful. Once your ramp/guarantee are over you will be looking for a new job if you haven't already started to because at that point you will realize there is no money to be made at Nextiva.

There is no professional growth opportunities at Nextiva. Leadership is churned out as much as the AEs are. I'd highly advise looking for work elsewhere as you're just a number there.

As a whole, the sales leadership team would rate low for effectiveness around mentorship and professional growth. There are a few good managers but they are operating in the environment from the top. I would not recommend Nextiva if you have have other opportunities in the works.
