I genuinely enjoyed my time working at Morningstar. The culture is incredibly unique, and the company is filled with talented individuals. From top to bottom, they will encourage you to find and grow your professional passions. I would consider Morningstar a very “academic-friendly” environment, where many of your colleagues are in grad school at night and studying for professional exams (CFA, CPA, CFP, etc.). The pay might be on the lower end of the scale for your position/experience, but overall it is a fantastic place to work.

Products suck. Culture is great. Sales managers are supportive and care (most of them) the brand helps but if you want to hit quota you need to know a lot of finance. Like good sales people here are CSM level knowledgeable. Marketing doesn’t help us and sales enablement just wastes time too. Growing competition. Some products were dominant. No more
