What is the difference between an Account Executive and sales specialist at Microsoft. I thought that a sales specialist would be like a sales engineer but it sounds like it's more AE. Are sales specialist cold prospecting? Can anyone tell me what the sales team looks like at Microsoft?

On this page, it says that Microsoft CSAMs are given a 60/40 base variable split. Is this true for all CSAMs? Given the high base salary for even entry-level IC2 CSAMs, I find this hard to believe, even though Microsoft pays above market average.
