Top 20% of CompaniesBack to ReviewsFormer Employee LinkedIn isn’t what it once was. The culture has really fallen off to the point where it’s more like a machine than an innovative software company. The mission and vision no longer matter.
The sales culture is also not great. You’ll get good at selling LinkedIn but you won’t get good at sales. Managers are not very effective coaches and directors are unaware of what’s happening in the market, so it’s hard to get guidance from either.
Promotion is very difficult. It’s extremely competitive, so to go from an SMB AE to an ENT AE takes a minimum of five years, which is much longer than the rest of the job market.
Overall, I would not recommend LinkedIn unless you are content with where you’re at, and you just want to collect benefits and sell a product that’s easy to sell. LinkedIns benefits are SICK. They’ve stopped innovating on the product front (Sales Insights isn’t great and LinkedIn Learning is meh). Not a good place to be if you’re looking for development or looking to get some promotions and work your way up. There are MUCH better places in the market for that like Gong, Google, Figma, Rippling, Deel, etc. Browse Other Reviews
