A recent 20% price increase and a lower compensation plan has been detrimental to revenue growth, profit, and morale. Sales representatives must now sell 2.5 times more revenue to make same compensation as in previous years and has resulted in several sales people to leave the company and go to work for competitors. Executive leadership have acknowledged the downfall since the changes and have no plans to alter the changes. The CEO said in a recent all employee meeting, "The compensation plan changes do not benefit a sale representative as an individual, but the change does benefit me and the company."
