My overall experience was pretty solid, just a ton of travel and constant cold calling. There are also tons of metrics that you need to make sure you understand in order to rank high.

High staff turnover for a reason. Micromanagement in full display. Lots and lots of driving. During 12 months, I drove 50,000 miles for work. Averaging 1000 miles a week. 2 days in the office, 3 on the road.

Great experience for entry level sales and professional development but lots of metrics and micromanagement. Also you will be a road warrior driving many hours per week and doing cold calling the bulk of office days. But good starting pay and benefits, training is great too.

Keyence is a great place to start your career. The experience gained here will be very helpful as you continue on, and recruiters have gotten wise over the years that Keyence employees tend to do well when hired for new roles.

Keyence is a great place to work. However, there is little development after two years and your upside of earnings is limited due to job security. Salary is high but this means variable pay is fairly rigid. Only about a $30k gap from top earners in your title to bottom.

Really great place to start your sales career, however, please be aware of burnout. They do hire a lot of the times fresh out of college and most tenure is about 1 to 2 years. You are expected to have A TON of sales meeting per month and very high goals. You meet some great people there though and a young crowd most of the time.

Keyence will give you all the tools to succeed, and help you get there. They make their sales philosophy clear, and it gets results. If you play their game, you can have a career. It is demanding, and isn’t the best pay. However, it’s stable and effort driven.
