Back to ReviewsFormer Employee Honestly, I don’t know how this company stays in business. For the commercial side it takes a year for the reps to even fully understand what the company is selling. They talk about sustainability and cyber resiliency and hybrid cloud. They give you a script that is a bait and switch for customers. They sell and resell hardware. At its core they sell storage but because that’s not compelling enough to get a meeting with net new customers they lie about what their capabilities are. Management outside of the field is terrible and don’t seem to know what Hitachi Vantara sells either. The inside sales team is make believe. Meant to fill up dashboards with calls and emails that get very little response if any. There is no clear path from Inside Sales to the field. In 3 years only 2 reps made the jump. They only want to hire people who have a preexisting book of business because their marketing is terrible and products are not in high demand. Only role I’d consider in this company is a field selling role and you will have to prospect like crazy. Very low install base and no deals come to you.
