What's the interview process like?

5 interviews - first call with recruiter, for me they told me compensation right up front. Next one with direct manager, then technical competency interview, last one on one interview with Segment VP and final interview is a panel presentation/sales roleplay. Recruiting interview is easy, next 3 are straight forward if you use the STAR method. Last interview and prep is very rigorous, make sure you read and watch all the resources they send you and  get your direct manager or rep’s take on what you’re planning. It’s a very competitive interview, but they’re very fair.

The interview is a few rounds with a rep, manager and others. Last round is a presentation on their pitch. The company is very poorly run, especially the enterprise sales leadership and SDR leadership teams. As long as you do decent on the preso they will make you an offer bc they are desperate. No one is making money at this company. The sales turnover seems to be almost 90% every 12-18 months. The VMWARE guys running things are intolerable. You will literally hate them. The company itself cannot profitability sell their products. The sales comp is too hard to understand. You will be miserable there.

It's probably a cakewalk now considering the D-level talent they're hiring these days. There have been several waves of mass exodus with more to come, so they'll probably hire anyone.
