Back to ReviewsCurrent Employee My overall experience has been fulfilling while working at Google Fiber. I enjoy how the company brings the "Googley" culture to the ISP space, which tends to be an 'old school' industry. The compensation is on par with other major competitors and the fiber tech certainly has a fit in the market.
However, there is a high turnover on the sales side due to many AEs facing impassible obstacles by no fault of their own. This is due to the company's one major downside: a high-strung mindset by leadership that the product is still an industry-breaking technology that doesn't need to conform to industry sales norms & incentives. The fact of the matter is that most competitors have replicated the tech and now have fiber options of their own, along with the traditional incentive structures that our business partners crave. Unfortunately, when pitted against other major fiber companies, sales reps lose tons of great deals purely because they have been given a lackluster toolkit.
So why do I stay? Because unlike elsewhere, the potential here is unmatched. If leadership will get off of their high horse, Google Fiber will become the dominant ISP fiber innovator. Browse Other Reviews
