Whats the culture like these days at Forrester? Good place to start your sales career?

No! Run away as fast as you can. Check out the Glassdoor reviews. They just fired half the sales org. Multiple lawsuits going on (discrimination, cheating the government out of money cause they lie about the cost of their products often). The CPO was just fired, the SVP of sales, SVP of CS and CSO all recently quit. The product is no longer relevant and clients are churning dangerously fast. It's an ok to have (not even a nice to have) and not a necessity. No one is making OTE. Think about it - if a client doesnt place in a Wave, you're out of a sale and you'll be PIP'd. Wave is 100% out of your hand and control. Also this is not a tech company. This is a marketing research company

Right now Forrester is going through a tough time transitioning away from their legacy product to a new service called Forrester Decisions. With the product changes and the economic downturn, Forrester had two rounds of layoffs in the first half of the year.

They just fired half the sales org, and personally speaking the product is outdated and execs are not looking at Forrester for research related work. Its become a PR company and if a client dosen't get in to a Wave report good luck renewing them. Also if you do end up selling something to a client good luck on giving them any flexibility. Also they barely grew last year and I don't see people buying Forrester licenses like they once did.

Yes, great place to start your career especially if you want to eventually leap into tech sales or consulting/services. Competing against Gartner is tough but also a great learning experience as you have to work harder than the 800 pound gorilla :) definitely recommend if you’re fresh out of college or transitioning into tech, etc.
