You learn a lot and sell a lot. But dont get compensated like you should. AE and AM dont know about most of the deals and you lead everything.

It’s hard to say. When I was an ISR in the call queue I made more than I had ever in my life but a year later had to walk away on a pip. Your mileage may vary but my manager was very difficult to get a long with but everyone else was supportive. Insane amount of contests and ways to get obscene amounts of Amazon gift cards but bad base pay looking back at it.

Incentives for comission now center around products and solutions that are new to the market. The support for building and selling these solutions is minimal.

This was my second stint at Dell and although the company had made some significant changes through EMC acquisition, it was still the same legacy culture of Dell, and this experience was not as enjoyable as the first.
