However, roughly 17% of reps hit their annual quota last year. For those reps, they are making solid money, but for the most part, the rest of the reps are not. Primarily due to lack of workable accounts, you get a batch of 100 accounts, but only 20 are a good product fit, and only 10 are likely willing to even entertain a conversation but aren't in a position to buy. The commercial sales team is bloated as well, which creates difficulty for getting promoted to either midmarket or leadership because both of those options are a fraction of the size.
