The division I was in was led by a moron who offered nothing in the way of sales advice…it was either get numbers or don’t.
The issues stem from his inability to actually lead, and his desire to bring people over from his former company.
The comp plan doesn’t really mesh with reality, and because this role was just to bring in new business to the pipeline, and for other people to close the business … there was a major disconnect.
