Driven by poorly designed sales metrics causing sales people to literally fake their daily interactions creating a snowball effect and/or keeping up with the jones’ effect to keep off the radar.
Constant unnecessary customer ‘money grabs’ leading to poor business ethics and significant client dissatisfaction.
I’ve noticed the base salary for a sales account executive with CoStar is between $25-$50k LESS than what it should be for an equivalent role.
Costar could be a good starting sales career out of high school, or college, however not for seasoned sales professionals.
