How effective is the sales training program at ChannelAdvisor for individuals interested in pursuing a career in sales?

Not great, Too much information and not enough practicality. It has only gotten more difficult as we have gone remote. The best way to learn was by hearing other colleagues in their cubicles around you cold calling and taking calls to hear what they are saying. Or making a cold call yourself and immediately asking someone what another company did or industry lingo questions. It also was better because you could see when reps were taking their laptop and coffee to a room for a demo or discovery call and easily ask if you could sit in.  Now you have to be diligent about asking reps to invite them to their zoom meetings, which they forget.  There is no training that can be done to make someone learn this industry. Unless they had you listening to recorded calls which they do not.

Like any company, it's not their job to teach you how to sell. They do a great job teaching you about their company, culture, and people - but if your experience is lacking, you should consider taking a sales course or business course to help with the basic baseline information. If you are good are your job, career opportunities will present themselves but only if you sell (if you were hired to sell).
