Former Employee I devoted just over seven years and was a casualty of the last round of RIFs. An entire new Sr. Leadership team was installed over the last 18 mos and I suspect they are focused on cleaning up the balance sheet perhaps for M&A. Many of the personnel decisions are not representative of a long-term growth play. There are great people and leaders at Lumen but it will take years to bring stability and re-establish employee trust. The real challenge is the sector its self. None of the wired providers offer anything proprietary other than physical connectivity. They each must rely on reselling other companies proprietary services through their network of sales teams. The strategy and structure of such teams is very much siloed and flawed. The strategy introduces unnecessary internal competition and diluted sales results.
This could be a great company, but only if you can survive the current storm.
